This policy covers theplussidez.net, the website for The Plus SideZ podcast. It explains what information we collect through this site, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We keep it simple on purpose.

People listen to this show all over the world, so we apply the same standard to everyone: we collect as little as possible, we never sell it, and anyone can ask us to delete what we hold regardless of where they live.

What we collect

If you fill out a form on this site, we receive the name, email address, company details and message you choose to give us. Those forms are the only place this site asks you for anything.

This site sets no advertising trackers, runs no analytics, and sells no data to anyone. Our web host keeps standard server logs, which can include IP addresses and browser information, for security and basic traffic counts.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. The episode player from Buzzsprout may set its own, so it does not load until you click to start it. Nothing third-party runs on this site before you ask for it, which is why you do not see a cookie banner here.

Health information

People sometimes describe their own medication, diagnosis or treatment when they write to us, and several laws treat that as sensitive information deserving extra protection. You never need to share any of it to reach us, and we would rather you did not. If you do, we handle it the same way as everything else here: we use it only to reply to you, we never sell or share it, and we delete it on request.

We are not a healthcare provider and this site is not a medical service, so nothing you send us is a medical record. Treat any form here as an ordinary email.

Why we collect it

We use what you send to reply to you and to have the conversation you reached out about. Nothing more. Contacting us does not add you to any mailing list.

Who else is involved

Parts of this site are run by other companies, and their own privacy policies apply when you use them. Form submissions are delivered by FormSubmit. The episode player and episode list come from Buzzsprout. Booking a session goes through Calendly. The Cozy Butter community is operated separately by Cozy Butter LLC, including its own sign-up and email list. Blog posts are published on Substack. The podcast itself is distributed by Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube. Links to press coverage take you to those publications.

We do not share what you send us through this site with any of them. Some of these companies are based in the United States, so if you write to us from elsewhere your message will be stored there.

How long we keep it

We keep form messages as long as they are useful for the conversation or an ongoing working relationship. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask for a copy, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent you previously gave. Email theplussidez@gmail.com or use the contact form and we will take care of it. We will not treat you differently for asking, and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, these are your rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR, and our legal basis for holding your message is your consent in sending it. You may also complain to your national data protection authority. If you are in California you have the same rights under the CCPA, and we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined there. If you are in Washington or Nevada, you have additional rights over consumer health data, including deletion and withdrawal of consent.

Children

This site is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
